To improve the economic conditions of poorest of the poor, 35 families were given chicks as part of backyard poultry and 28 families were given goats to promote goat rearing in Gattepally village.
Backyard poultry is taken up with the support of Directorate of Poultry Research (DPR) and its Director Shri R N Chatterjee distributed chicks to 35 tribal women. On an average these hens could lay 120-140 eggs per year, which would help in generating additional income
