An NGO should make people self-reliant in villages it works and move to next area. Maa Thota started to make people self-reliant with sustainable income generated through ‘Maa Thota’ (Cultivation of Orchards). Program started in April, 2021 with the help of NABARD. As part of this program initially 400 acres of orchards will be grown in Sirikonda Tribal Areas in Adilabad District. The plan is to market the produce with the help of FPOs and establish food processing units to provide long term income to tribal farmers.
