Federations & FPCs

Federations & FPO (Farmer Producer Organization) are established to achieve self-reliance of farmers. The first federation established is Kumaram Bheem Federation with the financial support of NABARD in the year 2016-17. Trainings and awareness programs were conducted on administrative management skills to make farmers as administrators. 1200 farmers from 42 villages are shareholders of the federation with the total share capital of Rs.12,00,000.

Achievements:

• MarkFed has allotted minimum Support Price (MSP) centre to Kumaram Bheem Federation, Indervelly.
• Established fertilizer shop to sell seeds, fertilizers and insecticides at affordable rates.
• Supply of agri inputs @ 10% discount to market prices to farmers
• 3983 quintals of red gram and 14.05 quintals of soya was procured through MSP centre.
• It achieved a turnover of Rs. 1,14,00,000 in the year 2019-20.

Madavi Thukaram FPC

Madavi Thukaram Federation was established with 428 farmers from 30 villages of Indervelly, Sirikonda Mandal of Adilabad District as shareholders, with the financial assistance of NABARD. Its annual turnover is Rs. 8,90,000. Various farm inputs like seeds, fertilizers, insecticides, spray pumps, tarpaulins, organic fertilizers are sold at subsidized prices to the shareholders of the federation
